Abstract

The paper aims to overview dynamics of scientific and technological advance and to analyse impact of national science and technology policies on country’s progress. The paper deals with literature on science and technology advance including reciprocity of science and technology. It analyses taxonomy of the globalisation of technology, current trends of scientific and technological advance in the context of globalization as well most probable scenario of international business changes in relation to development of science and technology.
Impact of governmental policy on scientific and technological advance is analysed in the paper. Researches of such scholars as Feeley (2002), Lemola (2002), Nayyar (2002), Archibugi and Lundvall (2002), Scherer and Harhoff (2003), Stiglitz (2003) and Stubbs (2007) form foundation of the paper. The analysis reveals main stakeholders, trends and means of government intervention regarding the science and technology progress.
